I’ve been thorough all types of building cycles. People today don’t realize that they have been living in an artificial money market. 6% mortgages were great for years and are probably the norm that we are heading to. I’ve built homes with 18% mortgages. We are heading for a dip in the market that will be severe. The rising interest rates along with the greedy lumber mills has exacerbated costs. I see congress blaming builders for rising costs. When a single ceiling joist costs $100 and a sheet of osb costs $50 a builder cannot absorb the costs.
